Fateful Encounter
A blur on my part, the person responsible is faceless. Was is my grandpa on my mom's or dad's side? Was it my mom or dad to begin with? I'm not sure. I merely recall visiting my dad's parents' house and demolishing a box of Nilla wafers. First, they were solid and simply bitten into. Then, I began to savor its flavor - holding it in my mouth until it became soggy. Afterward, I would swallow.

Toothpick Craving
As a child, I had a habit of making art on objects other than actual canvases. For examples, I used crayon on carpet and paint on the walls. Wafers were no exceptions. I enjoyed taking toothpicks and scratching words or animals on the rounded side.

Breakfast
As a snack that can take many forms, my favorite cereals include soggy wafers in milk (maybe even chocolate milk, on occasion). When the wafers soften, I enjoy mashing them into a crumbly paste and drinking the concoction. (Even though my stomach does not appreciate me.)

Modern Day
Fast forward to today, Wafers are obviously the star of the show. If any kind were purchased at the store, the Oliver family knows to either buy two boxes or hide the one. Buying two gives me a box or hiding it increases the odds of the buyer keeping the wafer box. Best to hide it in one's room since I never enjoy wandering someone else's habitat.
